Friends? and Ego

Along my spiritual journey there are 2 main issues that are weighing me down today. The 2nd one is Friendship. I had a situation come up over the past weekend that I am rather sad about.

There was a party. One that I had originally been invited to, and then my perception changed that perhaps I was not. In my course, I am guided to ask, "Where Am I?" Through this challenge, I understand better. It matters not whether or not it was "nice" or not. What matters is how the situation made me feel and move forward through it. And with this, I consulted with my Cards for Direction.

Where Am I Now... One-Ring Circus, You are Capable and Competent.

The Challenge.... The River Queen, Letting Go

The Lesson, Moving Forward... Moonlight, Your Intuition Allows You to See Beyond the Mundane and Logical, Follow It.

Upon pondering the situation, it takes me back to my childhood and I do have a better understanding. But I also know that there is no Credence in the past, as we have no control over it anymore. We can only make choices in the Now, in the Moment.

SO, with this, the first Card, The One-Ring Circus seems fitting. More importantly, what is happening in my life is an Independence. Independence is Key for me in my journey at this time. Others may not have the vision or resources that I need. I must recognize that the wisdom that I have acquired along the way has served my journey. It is important to see that I am competent and that self-reliance is important. I am capable of moving forward with assurance. When you know WHO you are, you are able to enter into the best kind of relationships and partnerships and attract people who mirror back your wholeness. Inter-dependent relationships are always mutually supportive, stimulating and trans-formative. What most comes to mind is "You are the Ring Master in Your Own Destiny."

The Challenge, so fitting at this time and I have a complete awareness of this, is the River Queen, Flow, Letting Go, Natural Movement.  The very first thing that jumps out at me is to not force anything, there is a flow, allow it to just be. That's pretty tough when we have learned through fear to chase what we cannot grab hold of, EVEN if it is not something that we want! The River Queen flows as an Ally to remind you about the concept of allowing and the Law of Non-attachment, there truly is a natural continuous and endless cycle of fluidity. Let Go of rigidity, boundaries and perfectionism and you will travel far. As long as you let go and let flow, even maneuvering around the greatest blockages, such as water around big boulders. No obstacle can hold you back if you are willing to surrender the the natural flow of events. Be easy on yourself and on others. Watch how smoothly you move forward, you  may be surprised where the river takes you!

Flow Forward... MoonLight. Peace will Be found within. Your Intuition allows you to see beyond the mundane, logical and analytical. Follow it. Moonlight Beckons. Come, Trust your intuition and it will lead you into places that may not seem logical. Your hunches will be right on target. You alternative perception is especially sharp. You can see beyond the surface of things and have the ability to truly read between the lines. This is a gift. You will learn to trust this rather than fear it. Spirit is sending you messages. Success is yours if you follow the signs.

You are meant to be alone right now as you have lessons to learn. Those that you need to be with, will be presented and relationships will blossom. Good, true, honest relationships. Trust.

Now Breathe and Go Have Fun! Blessings, Love and Light!

Patience IS a Virtue

Faith Cannot Exist When Fear is in the House....

I learned a great lesson about Patience while playing a game of Scrabble with a good friend. She is amazingly excellent at the game. She also, it seems, shows an incredible amount of patience when it comes to waiting for the right letters (usually big ticket letters!).

This morning the Challenge card that I picked was the "Patience Card," so with that I had been reflecting on Patience. SOme would say that I show a lot of patience. The truth is I STRIVE to show patience. I am better at hiding my internal fear. In the same regard, while watching the Long Island Medium on Sunday, Theresa Caputo said something that I have been trying in wrap my head around. So this has been a week long journey, and today I may have just understood it. Theresa said something like, 'You cannot have faith when you have fear.' I have been struggling with to understand this lesson all week.

AND then, whilst playing this game of scrabble, I had a 'Yay Me!' moment. For the past 3 or 4 turns I have had a great word to play. I could have played it all three times, but there were not an double letters or triple words in the positions that I could play it. I kept waiting. In the meantime, she patiently swapped tiles and skipped a turn until what she was waiting for (a payday) arrived. On the 4/5th time around, I finally gave into the fear and played my word, thinking that the opportunity for this word was going to pass me up. After playing at the regular point word, she made her big move. Then it hit me square in the face, had I waited patiently, instead of trying to force a word, I would have been afforded a big pay-out.

Now I know that this is just a game, but it has mirrored what is transpiring in my life. For this, I am grateful. I have an understanding of Theresa's message.

I have shared a few times my anxiety. Anxiety, for me, if often created through control, as it often is. There is only so much that one can control. Line the ducks up. Ask the Divine for thy will. Have patience that at the exact right moment in time, the best possible result will transpire!

A Life Lesson, I thought that I would share! Have a wonderful day. Thine will be done through me, not to me.

Walking My Talk

A friend posted this on their Facebook page and although I don't usually re-post, but it really did interpret how I am working towards living my life, taking each step forward in my life.

It's a long journey back to a place of peace, but I have to admit, that it is a worthwhile venture. This is not a challenge to me, or a mission, it's a choice. I need to find my own inner peace, my place of sanctuary, my sense of balance, that place that is the right of each and every person.

My daily goal will be as written, but not limited to one person. I have had on my wall in my bathroom 'Life's Daily Instructions,' and I can honestly say that each day, I pick one line and try and accomplish that for the day, with an open heart and not asking for anything in return. I have been doing this for about 20 years.

There is so much good in the world, many kind and generous beings, I believe that it's my turn to appreciate, to be content, at peace, to let go of Ego, and to let go of the Attachment.

I plan to surround myself with those who inspire me, those that motivate me, those that rejoice in life itself and I for them. It's a shared experience.  Life is a shared experience.

There are songs and poems that read, "live like you are dying.' The truth is that we are all dying, so really, that's the only way to believe. The truth is though, that for many, the opposite of this choice becomes a way of life. Most of us live as if we are invincible, like we will live forever. Nobody knows how long they will live or how active or healthy they will be. With this state of mind, it gives us an opportunity to open ourselves up to really and truly living life.

Over the summer, a friend had a massive heart attack. She is 42 years old and was thought to have been in excellent health. Due to the circumstances of her attack, she may lose part of or all of her foot. There will most likely be other effects due to her condition. That is, if she receives the heart transplant that she requires.

This is not as uncommon as one may choose to believe, whether it be a heart attack, a stroke, cancer, diabetes, a car accident or any other unthinkable circumstance that may arise, but it is not.

We can choose to take the opportunity to live life. To enjoy life. To do what we can to enjoy life each and every day, because each day is truly a gift. Live in the present, enjoy the moment, live in the now.

I, with all honesty, do not feel that we need to 'live like we are dying,' perhaps because I don't really know what that means. I, instead, am going to make an active effort to live in the moment, live each day because it's the best day, we only ever have today. Spread your wings, for goodness sake, fly, swim, whatever it is that makes your heart sing, do it!

AND if I ever lose my way, for but a moment, an hour, a day or more... I will pick myself back up, brush myself off and continue on my way. For it is not to begin again... Life is a continuous journey and from what I have experienced, there is no path that is void of bumps, turns or round-a-bouts, each is only set along the way to teach or perhaps experience from a different perspective, but always to help us to grow. With growth we move forward.

Be kind to one another. Spread the word. What a wonderful world it would be.

As Luck Would Have It...

The Luck of the Irish.... I don't believe in Luck. I must have as a kid because I remember searching the grass whenever I could for 4-Leaf Clovers. I am not sure when I lost touch with the belief but I do know why. Simply put, by giving something up to 'luck' we are giving away our own personal power. I do believe that some people have more good fortune than others, but this may be because they generally have a better outlook. It's often said that we are what we think. I do believe that it goes deeper than this, to no only think, but to truly believe.

I would then put the luck and karma in the same spectrum, perhaps because I struggle to understand either. Karma is the concept of "action" or "deed", understood as that which causes the entire cycle of cause and effect. Karma originates in ancient India and treated in the Hindu, Jain, Buddhist and Sikh religions. I wanted to put this out there, because, I am a practicing Catholic, and the Catholic religion is not based on Karma. Although I respect each religions own uniqueness and individuality, I don't typically pick and choose which parts of any religion that I want to take with me because it suits my current needs or situation. Having said that, I do believe in a cause and effect. How you live your life does determine what kind of life you will have. I just do not understand how it's Karma that determines the outcome. Where does the opportunity to change, to make a better life despite circumstance or opportunity come into effect with Karma. Why would we even want to change if something was always going to come bite us in the butt, no matter what, based on the laws of Karma.

Luck is fortune (whether bad or good) which occurs beyond one's control, without regard to one's will, intention, or desired result. I just believe that we make decisions based on what we need to know, where we need to be and who we need to met or be with, at this moment in life. I understand that this can be challenged, that somebody always wins big because of a lucky charm or horseshoe up their wazoo. But perhaps it is do to the positive energy or connection, based on committed positive thoughts.

Newton's third law of motion, I believe, translates the law of Karma into our universal process, whereby causes lead to effects. Newton's third law of motion states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

I believe that each and every one of us makes our own opportunities. Which makes me laugh as I would then say that currently, I would say that my opportunities are challenged at this time! Perhaps I need a horseshoe or a lucky clover to guide my thoughts in the positive direction and bring in a home run!

I recently had a conversation with a friend that is studying Buddhism (not because she wants to change religions, but because she is curious about the religion). She said that during a group discussion a question was posed to the Leader, "Do you think that Buddhism is a stand-alone religion or an adjunct to our religious beliefs?" I personally thought that the Leader may have been insulted by this question, but it did pose an interesting perspective on our society.

Luck, Karma, Newton's Laws... Delightfully curious!

Bullying ~ The Big Secret

Everyone wants to be loved, accepted and cared for. There are no exceptions. Everyone wants friends, which, from what I have read, is what little Amanda Todd wanted most. She was a child and as a society we failed her and many other children that have left before her as well. Unless something changes, we will continue to do so. We are constantly inundated with TV shows, movies, music videos, music artists, you-tubes commercials, photos, the list is long, that are sending inappropriate, wrong and often mixed messages to young girls that this may be ok, even though they most likely know that it does not feel right. She wanted to be accepted. Our new advanced society played a major role in this as well. This is so wrong. Bullying comes in all shapes and sizes and we see it in little ways, such as trying to be funny, and we see it much larger, harder and hurtful. We have to protect these children. There are predators out there and we are making it easier for them. I am so incredibly sad that a child has lost all hope.

My personal belief is that communication and education are key. We can protect our children, we can teach them tools, but we cannot be with them every moment. It's a child's job to seek independence, freedom from the 'chains' (as they see them) from their parents. The most important tool during this period is communication, especially listening. Even when and mostly, when they don't want to talk. A word, a hug, just so they know that no matter what, they are loved and accepted, even when their hair is spiked up and  purple on the ends. This is their individuality. It can be a tough period but knowing that you are accepted within your family and that there is dialogue. Parents need an invisible shield at this time. This is so important, because when something happens, such as bullying, they need to know, without a doubt, that they will be heard, listened to. Teachers, coaches are also important. It's a huge umbrella. It is community and we have to keep our eyes and ears open.

Hurtful words leave invisible scars. But they are not invisible inside. One form of bullying is to emotionally effect another through negative words. I was bullied as a child. To this day, it still affects me. Most likely each and every one of has been bullied at some point in our lives.

My personal experience with bullying is that I was bullied because I was different. I thought differently. It is hard to be accepted when you are different and through the years, it has become increasingly difficult to be unique, to think outside of the box. It matters not the intention of the bullying, it matters how it affects one inside. I was fortunate because, I had a great family support system, even though, my reality, was that I was different from them as well. Having said that, by definition, I am still bullied because I think differently. People don't really believe that it is bullying though, they think that it is ok, sometimes they just think that they are being funny. It's not funny when it hurts or opens wounds that we might have thought were long gone. I do know that how we accept or perceive the words are a reflection of our present state of mind.

I have a core belief that we all experience what we need to as children to experience life as an adult and play an important and unique role in society. I believe that this is God's will; Thine will be done through me.  We are all here to learn. We are all here to teach. With this, as I learn and I teach. This is my gift.  I was uncomfortable with my body. I spent a lot of time trying to hide it.

"Be unapologetic in your positivity even in the face of dire circumstances. Even when it seems that there is no way out, insist that there is one and that you just cannot see it at that moment. Though you may not have an answer now, be secure in the knowledge that there is an answer to every question you can ask. You may need to develop patience to wait out periods of “darkness”. Know that the light always comes." This is at the core of my belief system.

I have a gift of the ability to sense what is happening with those I come into contact with. Everyone. I do believe that we all have this gift. I am most aware of this and perhaps more sensitive to it. My challenge has been to separate my sense of self from those emotions of others.

My acceptance and understanding of this has been recent. It has sometimes been a lonely road. In the past, I have just said things that come to my head, as an observation, without being accountable. I typically tune into energies immediately. I can't seem to hide from it, although I would like to sometimes. I often ask myself why I can't just have a normal conversation. The answer is because I am picking up on how others are feeling inside. I can feel it. I have always known that this scared people, but to be honest, without understanding it, I really didn't know why. To explain it better is that I tune into their emotions and I do so without thinking or being aware of it. For many years, I carried these feelings and emotions with me. I have now learned to let them go, to separate myself from them.

Too Much Pain
The most difficult of these feelings is pain. Mental pain is one thing, physical pain is a whole other pain. It makes me crazy, I often cover my ears or walk away. The feelings of the mental pain, up until now, have affected me because I have allowed the pain to take me back to my own pain. This is what I have had to learn to do. And it is quite a process, a challenge that can indeed be conquered. I was like an emotionally charged wrecking crew. I, however, perhaps because of this, am able to conceal my pain, thoughts, emotions.

This is what is at the core of my individuality, who I am. For me to embrace this gift is to be whole and inspired.
Just my thoughts on this day.................

Energy Chakras and Auras.

Energy... Chakras and Auras. Every single thing is made up of Energy. I honestly believe that if we understood this and connected to this sense of power, this world would begin to heal.

Our body's energy system is made up of Chakras. Our Chakras are presented to us as colours, as circular and continuously moving spirals of energy. There are seven main energy centres, chakras, within our bodies each one relating to the others. For those that can see this, the energetic field that surrounds each of us, our physical body, is an Aura. Simplified, we glow, such as a rainbow.

Chakra Energy Chart
Violet (Crown) - I Understand
Indigo (Third Eye) - I See
Blue (Throat) - I Speak
Green (Heart) - I love
Yellow (Solar Plexus) - I Do
Orange (Sacral) - I Feel
Red (Base/Root) - I Am

Blockages are often held within the energy field. This prevents us from living life to the fullest.  I am colour driven, always have been. Colour is so important to me. I choose my colour each morning, dependent on my mood and perhaps moreso, how I 'feel.' Sounds crazy, but it is true. In the same regard, I also choose my necklace, always a stone and most often a heart, although I do love crosses.

On a regular basis, it is necessary and beneficial to clear our energy field, our Chakras. In order to do this, we need to make ourselves aware of them.

Sit still for a moment. Allow your mind to clear. Feel your body, from toe to head. I, personally begin with the Crown Chakra.  Probably backwards, but this is me ;) Focus on the spot rising from the centre of your head and let you mind see the colour of the Crown, Violet. Once you can see the colour, visualize it at a rotating spiral, spiraling round and round. Once this feels strong, clear, at ease, go to the next. Let your mind see the area of your third eye and the colour Indigo. See it as a spiral and allow it to flow round and round. Then to the Heart, followed by the Solar Plexus, Sacral and then Root.

Once you have visualized all of these spiraling in unison, from the Base, Red Chakra, spiral up through each colour associating the words, I am, I feel, I do, I love I speak, I see, I understand. You can go up and down through the Chakras until you get a sense that they are free of blockage and clear.  Once you feel this, allow yourself to spiral up once more and up through the Crown Chakra to connect with the white light. This is our connection to the Divine. Our Higher Power.

For me, this is a wonderful way to begin each day, this allows us to just be.

It is a Thanksgiving Day for us in Canada. I am thankful for many blessings in my life. I am me and I strive to learn. I am most grateful for the ability to share my journey. Have a wonderful day.

The Mache Box

I really got to thinking about "The Box." The more I think about it, the more it becomes clear. In my head, at least, it's a challenge to try and sort these thoughts on the keyboard! Regardless, I am going to attempt to and see what transpires.

I remember when my niece and I were talking about busting out of the box that surrounded her. She became quite angry, "It's a box that others put around me. I did not put it up!" I so agree with her, and it does start this way. Even so, it's up to her to think outside, step outside, to tear it down, or to rebuild.

Consider our boxes as a paper mache surround. Each layer represents thoughts, ideas, values, morals, should's, should not's, they are all there. The more often we hear the same value, the more solid it becomes.  The layers are a reflection of our parents, siblings, relatives, neighbors, families, school friends, teachers, media, pretty much everyone that we come into contact with.

So my girl's statement is correct. The mache box becomes part of our hopes, our dreams, our limitations, our fears, our motivation; a part of who we are. There comes a time, and it is different for all of us, when we begin to question the validity and relevance of its makeup. It's the limiting values that we begin to question. Limitations that keep us from experiencing life as we somehow know that we should. Often we see this as it is presents itself as fear.

There are also internal layers, from birth that make up our mache. When we cry, we get fed or changed, when we laugh we get a smile, and so on. However, I am relating to the external in this text. As well, notably, many boundaries are good and necessary. As children, boundaries are put in place to keep us safe and secure. These boundaries are all part of our box. Our parents and family, relatives, for the most part, are huge participants in the making of our box. The more often, as toddlers and children that we hear what is expected of us, the more it becomes reinforced.

I recall, my sister with her first child. My mother wanted to put him in a playpen in the backyard, so that he wouldn't get hurt or each the grass. My sister was adamant about not doing this, "I want him to explore and experience what he can." This required a little more effort on her part (and ours), but the end result was inspiring. Who'd have known what would have happened if he ate grass! Yikes. My apologies, but some limitations are hilarious!

This all goes on in our pre-school years and everything seems hunk-a-dory until we meet the teen years.  This is the time when we begin to understand and to explore, to test what we are being told. To test the boundaries of our boxes to see how strong they are. Independence, can't hide it, there's no denying it! No matter what you try and teach, teens are going to do the opposite. That's the rule. This is when they begin to realize that maybe they have a choice. Mostly, I would say, because of the people that they encounter and share their day to day activities and experiences with, but even someone or a situation that you only meet once can reinforce your mache. Teens begin to question because the more people we meet, the more ideas, thoughts, values that are shared and you can bet your bottom dollar that some will vary. If you really think about it, this can be such a confusing time for young people. The more legitimate or valid the boundaries that have been instilled upon them, they are less likely to test the really deep waters. Layers are stripped and new layers are formed with the help of our peers and friends, teachers, coaches, churches. This is the first step at recognizing that we are in a box and we begin to examine each layer with a renewed perspective.

There are many levels and factors that relate to our own individual journey in this regard. It can take one person many years to recognize certain layers or limitations, to see that they can escape and rebuild. It's never too late and it is always liberating, worthwhile and inspiring. Some layers come down quickly, some, again take years to discover, new layers are put up. It is part of the lifelong journey, exploration of self.

Well, this is where I have been taken today. Try to think outside the box. Boxes are all built differently, with intention, kindness, safety fear and all sorts of ideas and knowledge and lessons.

Be Kind and Generous.

The "Box"

This morning I stepped out of my box. Or rather I knocked the wall down and THEN stepped out of my box.

Boxes are built around us, in most cases, as protection and security, based on another's beliefs and fears. Our boxes are also built with wonderful lessons, thoughts, love and nurturing. Our boxes are secured layer upon layer and reinforced until they become our own personal beliefs, thoughts and of course, fears. They are built around us in a loving way to protect and to teach. They finally become part of who we are, our reality. These boxes are built firmly in place and are typically invisible to the human eye.

I am writing this because I have lived in the box of anxiety. Although my anxiety is not extreme, I have spend many hours, read many books and studied many different forms of therapy to try and understand. My truth is that I have come to understand and learn what I need to in this regard on my own from deciphering through what I had read and what I had been taught, but my base was a clear and concise understanding of my own personal reality and then applying the principles that I had learned, much through trial and error. I am a firm believer that we are all individual and that although we can share information and personal lessons learned, we each have to discover what works uniquely for us.

My most important lesson was coming to an understanding that there is a difference between a Gut Feeling based on Intuition and a Gut Feeling based on Fear and Anxiety. Gut feelings based on fear happen in direction relation to the boxes that have been built around us and that we continue to sustain. This is a fear that says "don't do that because this will happen." If we were to take a moment to feel this emotion, we would understand it to be fear. It FEELs different from Intuition.

An example of this happened a couple of weeks ago. I was at an event with my parents at an old outdoor church site built entirely of stone. We were about to walk up some steps, when down came a little girl, holding her dad's hand, when she began to HoP down the last couple of steps. The woman in front of me gasped loudly, looked sternly at the little girl and exclaimed, "oh don't do that, you are going to hurt yourself!" I saw the delight and excitement fall from the little girls eyes.  This becomes a layer on her box. It takes many layers to securely trap ourselves into our boxes.

Intuition is a KNOWING. Knowing without a doubt and is not based on fear. There may be a warning attached to it, such as I don't want to take that turn and I am not sure why, but 'something' is telling me not to. Intuition can also lead us to many wonderful outcomes. Importantly is a tuning into these feelings, a knowing and understanding what is the driving force. For me, I have made a mindful effort to be aware of my feelings and emotions. This was really blown open wide when as I took this last course. I will given the skills and tools to take a moment to be aware of my surroundings, both internal and external and then name the feeling.

There is much to-do about Psychics and Mediums in our current society. I feel this is largely because we have so much interference in our lives. We are forgetting that the knowledge truly is within. We just have to stop and listen. We have to be still and quiet. We all have this gift, it is inherent in all of us. No exception. There are those who are more attuned just as there are those that are more athletically or mathematically tuned in. Any way that we look at it, it is there for us, if we choose to connect. Such as the athlete, who, although gifted in his sport, practices many hours a day, so to it takes practice to listen to our inner guidance and connect.

Just my thoughts for today... tuning into me and understanding. Not always logical, but I am aware and trying to sort through my feelings, my thoughts, my emotions. A good friend and myself have spent many hours taking with in this regard. I love conversation such as this, mostly because I love to learn. I absorb what is being conversed and then try to apply it to my life, situations or someone that may be in need.  Life is to be experienced.

Who I AM... Who Are You.

The Gift of Me!
A Wonderful Gift that I Have Been Given to Experience... Me... An Acceptance of My Emotions, My Feelings and My Thoughts. Who I am, Who Others are and Who We are in Relation to One Another. I No Longer Have to Change Who I am because of Who You are. When I look in the mirror, I love the person that I have become. This is not about Ego. It is about Self Acceptance. This allows me to truly share that person with others in a healthy relationship.

I see this Gift as the Gift of Life... or rather, the Gift of Unconditionally Experiencing Life. Truly, Fully Living. I suppose it was proposed to me as a Challenge, although I did not know it at the time, but I accepted it full on. I knew that my life had changed within moments and that this change is a forever experience.

When we go through life, its so easy to believe that the person that we are is the person that we will always be. One foot in front of the next. Until, one day, one moment, we are given the tools that truly give us the knowledge to Be the person that we are meant to be. We learn that we have a choice to truly know who we and and who we want to become. And it's not about the past. It's about the moment, letting the past be what it was and what it inspired us to be. In this moment, we get to choose our thoughts, our feelings and our emotions.

Life is not something that just 'happens' to us, it is something that has brought us to where we are and then moved us forward, to now.

Understanding this, knowing this, allows us to experience life more fully, with healthy boundaries, without attachment. I have learned to step outside the box and see life from a renewed perspective. A wonderful, liberating, freedom day. A day to be me and a day for you to be you.

This journal has been an exciting one for me, perhaps written quickly and without thought! But it is what I am feeling in this moment and it is exciting and life changing, all the same.

Our past will always be a part of who we are. If we just accept this, it will allow us to move forward more freely, with conscious choice. This is an enlightening opportunity. This is a conscious effort, a daily, even minute to minute process. Interesting though, the more I practice this conscious effort, the more effortless it becomes. It's become a part of me, a part of who I am. So very liberating and the foundation for Freedom.
I, without question, wish this process, to be brought into every school. We, as a human experience, need to  learn this.

Emotions... Feelin' Groovy

I was just thinking about feeling sad or down. Typically, I don't like feeling that way. I don't suppose anyone does. It always seems that when I am feeling down, it becomes overwhelming and the feeling(s) seems to take on a life of its own. Then I got to thinking, when it comes to the elated, wonderful, joyous feelings, it really is pretty much the same. These joyous, happy feelings, as well, begin to take on a life of their own. The difference, I contend, is that when the feelings are joyful and full of love, we want them to continue, to go on  forever. Interesting though, is that neither extreme does, ever.

Having said that, is it possible to manage, reflect or embrace the feeling or emotion and move forward with an awareness of the moment. An acceptance of the moment. Is that what true Inner Peace would feel like?

I was watching a show today, focusing on rude individuals. They staged a young man talking on a phone cutting into a long line-up. This caused quite a bit of anger from many people. However, one man just let him cut in front of him. When asked why he did it, the man replied something to the effect, "I was having a great day, feeling wonderful, and I just didn't want to ruin it. It really didn't matter." What struck me in this regard was that this man knew that he had a choice. Somehow, we have been led to believe that our feelings or emotions are just something that happen to us. Like they are separate entity. Sometimes, we even blame others for our feelings. This, in reality, gives away our accountability, our power, our responsibility, of the feeling.

We have the ability to choose how we feel about everything, every single moment. What if we took back that inner power. What if we taught ourselves to be more aware of our feelings and with this, acknowledged and accepted  responsibility for every single thing that we ourselves were feeling? Would that be crazy?

Collectively, though, what if we all learned this tool, wouldn't that then something incredible.

Everyone has a story. Everyone has a past. Clear the slate. What if we made a conscious effort to just be a good person to strive for inner peace. That would be the single goal. We could share this collectively, first on an individual level, within ourselves and then shared it with our outer world. With every person, situation that we encounter.

Yes, this all sounds a bit crazy, what about ego and competition and money and so on. We all have a choice. Choose what makes the soul prosper, what makes the soul dance. Truth. It sounds good. I'll try that for today. I will start with this moment. It is a conscious, continual, moment to moment, action. Just some thoughts.
