When
people speak, listen. Listen to their non-verbal messages as well as
their verbal. We have to be more compassionate to one another, much
kinder and more honest, within ourselves and to others. We need to work
on the anger, the frustration, the sadness, the dishonesty; on a
personal level as well as on a Universal level. Take a moment to try and
see the world through the eyes of another, without judgement and with
an open heart and mind. We may then choose to offer grace, strength and
support.
Put the light back into another's eyes, a smile on
their face, love in their hearts, kindness in their step. Strive to be
more compassionate and kind. Be aware of your own personal motive. Watch
the sunset, smell the roses, look people in the eye, give a helping
hand, raise people up instead of tearing them down, welcome people into
your hearts, your homes and your community. Instead of turning the
other cheek, give them a hug; everyone wants to belong and be loved. No
exceptions. Put people before profits, triumph before tragedy.
It's really not that difficult; but it does require mindful, conscious
thought and action. It is also without judgement or ego. Lay down at
night and think, 'wow! I did good today. I can made a difference. Thank
the person for allowing you to grow and expand' Then get up and do it
all over again. Be kind, generous and compassionate, just because you
can. Be, Do, Act, Love.
