Messages & Miracles~ACIM~Lesson 41

Seeking Justice and Love...

Blessed Day♡ as I work through the process.  The messages don't come either easily nor quickly to me today. My thoughts are present and alive; for this is where the creation is. Last evening before bed, I read through the message of today seeking insight, as I was unsure as to what to write about. The lesson today is a beautiful one.  God goes with me wherever I go.

But as I read out the analogy, what I was reading did not make sense to me. The message that I keep hearing is, 'Seek the light wherever you may go.  Seek clarity and truth.  Seek from the heart and through love.'  Perhaps not awe-inspiring, however, but simple. The message is clear and seeks to be embraced.

Today the message, for me, was also more personal. I am not alone. We are not alone. We are not alone now, nor are we ever. God is by our side and in our hearts; he is the spark that lights the soul, no matter how dim the light may seem at times, he is there. And in times of doubt, to go to this place within.

Many choose to think and then perceive, through their own personal experiences or those of greater tragedy or atrocity, that he is alone or alienated. Today's message seeks to make sense of this. It just didn't make sense to me. Until I watched a piece of the news.

'Let us see where we have been blinded.'  U.S. President Obama deliver his heartfelt and impassioned eulogy for the nine slain in South Carolina. It was a speech that sought to heal rather than blame, to love rather than hate, to come together in solidarity, through peace rather than fear, anger, or hate. To teach rather than follow. He reached out and for the first time, his dedicated and compassionate words spoke through the eyes of love in a manner that focused passionately on the lives of those murdered.

When we do not seek the solution, we cannot find the way. Of late, there has only been chaos in the wake of tragedy. President Obama's speech asked for more than this; he asked for not only justice to be served, but for our eyes to be opened.  When we only seek to hate, we will not find the love. We must move from that place and stand outside the norm; outside the fear, the anger, the rage, and the hate. My prayer is for this to be the beginning of a movement forward, beginning with self, then as a community, a nation, and may then this extend beyond.  'Let us see where we have been blinded.'

We were created with free will and to experience. Today's lesson brings us back to the light; trusting. Trusting and indebted that all experience is a necessary part, and our opportunity, to grow in accordance with that free will.  This brings a renewed awareness that these souls gave their lives in the name of healing, and to save the lives of many; to open our eyes to be freed from the hate. To carry this in our hearts as justice is served and as we move forward.

A Course in Miracles~ Lesson 41God goes with me wherever I go

Today's idea will eventually overcome completely the sense of loneliness and abandonment from our separation and our experiences appear to bring us to. Depression is an inevitable consequence of separation. Separation from self, from our experience, and from God. This separation leads to anxiety, worry, a deep sense of helplessness, misery, suffering and intense fear of loss.

Society has invented many cures for what they believe to be the ills of the world. The one thing they do not do is to question the reality of the problem. It has not been cured as we don't look to the creation of the problem.  The idea for today has the power to shed enlightenment on even the most tragic forms it may take.

Deep within us all, everything that is perfect and ready; always to radiate through and out into the world. This light has the capabilities to cure all sorrow and pain, fear and loss; because it heals the mind, the heart and the soul. This is the first step in our awareness of this.

You can never be deprived of your perfect holiness because its Source goes with you wherever you go. You can never suffer because the Source of all joy goes with you wherever you go. You can never be alone because the Source of all life goes with you wherever you go. Nothing can destroy your peace of mind because God goes with you wherever you go.

This may be incredibly difficult to understand or to believe, especially during this time. But yet the families of this recent tragedy do. I have experienced others that have also. To believe and to embrace that the truth is there; hidden deep within, under a heavy cloud of  angry or fearful thoughts, is a miracle in itself. Today is our first real attempt to get past this dark, obscure cloud; to go through it to the light beyond.

Today's practice period begins in the morning. Sit quietly for three to five minutes, with your eyes closed. Begin by repeating today's idea very slowly. Then, make no effort to think of anything. Try, instead, to get a sense of turning inward, past all the idle thoughts of your day, your life, and the news of the world. Try to enter very deeply into your own mind, keeping it clear of any thoughts that might divert your attention.

From time to time, you may repeat the idea if you find it helpful. But most of all, try to sink down and inward, away from the world. The goal is to reach past all these things; to leave appearances and approach reality.

It is quite possible to reach God at this time, even on your first try. It may be very easy, as it is the most natural thing in the world to do.  The way will be opened, if you believe that it is possible. This exercise can bring very startling results even the first time it is attempted. Eventually you will learn, that it is always successful. We learn more about this as we go into more detail in future lesson. Just know, at this time, that instant success is possible.

Then throughout the day use today's idea often, repeating it very slowly, preferably (and when possible) with eyes closed. Think of what you are saying and what the words mean. Concentrate on the holiness that they imply about you and on the complete protection that surrounds you.

Have a Blessed Day♡seeking through the eyes of God & a Miracle♡ LoriLynn
