Lies for Personal Gain...

Lying for Personal Gain has become the staple of our society.  It has clearly become acceptable and this generation is desensitizing to it. When it comes to a lie, there are no rules and no boundaries.  Well, perhaps one rule; that being that the result must be personal gain.  The magnitude of the lie is irrelevant as is the size of the gain.  A little white lie is still a lie.  Our wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Interestingly enough, to make lying acceptable to ourselves and to friends, family, business partners, clients, etc, anyone we meet up with in our daily existence, we have disguised the lie, giving it different names.  Because, as long as we don’t call it a lie, it’s not a lie. Right?
First, we present a lie as an illusion.  An illusion is an acceptable form of lying. The bottom line is personal gain, to create this illusion, with no regard for the truth.

An illusion is a distortion of the senses, revealing how the brain normally organizes and interprets sensory stimulation. While illusions distort reality, they are generally shared by most people.  The emphasis on visual illusions occurs because vision often dominates the other senses.  Some illusions are based on general assumptions the brain makes during perception. The term illusion refers to a specific form of sensory distortion; an illusion describes a misinterpretation of a true sensation.

There is yet another word that is an acceptable form of lying that word is marketing. Marketing is a form of illusion. Marketing is so out of control.

By definition, Marketing is "the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large.  It is an integrated process through which companies build strong customer relationships and create value for their customers and for themselves.  Honest, look it up. We are clearly as far away from this as we can possible be.  I do believe that we all know this, and accept it.  We are also confused by it.  We don’t know how to change it, modify it or put boundaries on it. So we let it be.
